
Another picture from the Rahoy Hills nature reserve artist in residency (or, rather, artist in absence) project as described in the text for the picture titled “Oaks in Gleann Dubh, Morvern, Scotland (1)”. The big masses of mossy growth on the lower part of this birch trunk include some western liverworts (Scapania gracilis and Plagiochila spinulosa) that do well in areas with a rainy and equable climate.
