Drawn from a photo taken at a Native Woodlands Discussion Group meeting in the Scottish Highlands. On these group excursions the participants look at and discuss woods, woodland management, woodland history and so on. But we can’t be 100% sure that on this occasion Ernest and John were not talking to themselves about something else. Maybe the relative merits of different brands of wellies? (Always warrants discussion – still haven’t found any that are as good as I’d like or expect.) Or something another person had said to one of them earlier? (E (or J): “… such an awful thing to say”. J (or E): “Well, I wouldn’t take it personally…”)
Details: Graphite pencil; 2014; 21 cm x 30 cm. Unframed: original £100; print £30.
