The third of the three drawings I did of views in a housing scheme adjacent to some woodland where I did some botanical survey work. Some people say they find this building ugly or depressing. I can see why (grey, not pretty, etc), but I think there is also a grandeur and magnificence about it on account of its size (on the large side), style (without decoration that would interfere with the appearance of the overall structure) and location (surrounded by simple, uncluttered space, so it stands out clearly). And people live in it. This is a building not to be ignored.
