
Another picture from the Rahoy Hills nature reserve artist in residency (or, rather, artist in absence) project as described in the text for the picture titled “Oaks in Gleann Dubh, Morvern, Scotland (1)”. This is one of those oaks whose lower trunk is markedly thickened and has a lot of epicormic twigs growing straight from it. The distant trees show wind-shaped forms that are common in this windy part of Britain. Loch Arienas is at the right.
