
Another picture from the Rahoy Hills nature reserve artist in residency (or, rather, artist in absence) project as described in the text for the picture titled “Oaks in Gleann Dubh, Morvern, Scotland (1)”. The trees here are mostly leaning over to one side because of the frequent wind; this patch of woodland is on a slope whose configuration means makes it exposed to the effects of prevailing westerly to south-westerly winds. The patterns formed by trunks and branches seen against the sky are always good to look at.
