
These two hills have been surrounded by a deer fence for some years now, so in their ungrazed state it will be interesting to see to what extent trees colonize their slopes and in what ways the ground vegetation might change. There are already many young trees on the lowest ground. Higher up, tree growth will probably be slow and, especially where rocky, sparse.
