This is one of the drawings in which I’ve tried to convey a sense of big scale on a small piece of paper. The patterning of deep fissures on the trunk adds a rather scary feel to the dark bulk of this old pine. A feeling that something is about to happen… so you’d best step back a bit… then run… don’t look back… car… road… quick stop in Pitlochry for fish & chips ‘cos I gotta tell ya the chippy just down from the Co-op is sooo good… car… home… paper… pen… drawing of pine tree.
