One of the many drawings done from photos taken while out on a moss/liverwort or vegetation survey. Here I was looking at mosses and liverworts. And in between those little plants I was appreciating the woodland scenery. Heaven forbid we should ever have to do surveys in such a coldly mechanical or robotic way as to lack any opportunity for any aesthetic appreciation or philosophical meandering!
